Grab a pencil. Use it to check off something from your mental to-do list. There is something you’ve been meaning to do.
Today is Leap Year Day. You only get this one day to do an unusual organizing project every four years. So it is a do it and forget about it day.
What is a quick, small task you could do that would make you feel good today?
How about gathering up those gift cards that are tucked here and there? Make dinner plans to use one. Get online and treat yourself to something. After all, they are doing you no good stuck in your desk drawer.
What about ordering some photos? You know you’ve a ton of stuff on that computer. Order up some prints of the kids and while you are at it, direct ship a copy of the photos to the grandmother’s houses. Brownie points for you!
Reading this while waiting around? Grab a bag and clean out the glove box in the car and any other storage areas. Get an envelope to hold your registration and insurance card- be sure to write big on the outside so you can find it in an emergency.
Clear out the junk drawer in the kitchen or the center drawer in your desk. Sort out the canned goods in your pantry and ditch the expired things. Get some batteries in those flashlights. Tidy up your toolbox- maybe actually put the tools in it!
It’s leap year. Leap in and organize one thing!

Loved this. We get a whole extra day!
